DRUG AND ALCOHOL POLICY
  • The Company policy takes into consideration the ‘Guidelines for the Control of Drugs and Alcohol Onboard Ship’, issued by OCIMF.
  • The Master shall be responsible for enforcement of the Company’s Drug and Alcohol Policy on board
  • A Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of 0.04% or more shall be considered as alcohol impairment. No seafarer shall, at any time be impaired by drugs or alcohol
  • All officers and ratings will observe the alcohol abstinence for at least 4 hours prior taking over watch-keeping duties or any scheduled shipboard duties.
  • Crew may be subjected to random testing for drugs and alcohol at any time on board the ship.
  • Issue of alcoholic beverages on board shall be strictly controlled by the Master. Crewmembers are not allowed to bring on board any alcoholic beverage
